I’m a daughter, friend, lover, sister, multi-passionate creative, educator, and blogger. My dad is from the Virgin Islands and my mom is from New Jersey. Together, they made a Georgia peach that was born in Italy. Word to all the military kids.
Jesus, family & friends, wifi, my phone, Jeni’s ice cream, my boyfriend, and Beyonce’ are among some of the things that I can’t live without. On the other hand, I can live without Atlanta traffic…whew, chile.
My friends say that I’m an “old soul”, my mom calls me “her favorite daughter” (by the way, I’m her only daughter), my boyfriend knows me as “silly”, my co-workers call me “determined”, and my line-sisters call me “protective”.
Depending on who you’re talking to, they’ll say very different things about me, but one thing that I believe they all can agree on is that I’m a passionate, loving person that cares deeply about those that I am connected to.
I live for creating things that I believe should exist in this world. This blog is one of those things. I want this to be a space where people can find ease, comfort, belonging, assurance, hope, wisdom, and encouragement. Ultimately, I want people to feel seen and to be heard. For them to know that they’re not alone in their journeys and that you don’t always gotta have it “all figured out”. The truth is…none of us do. I aim to shed light on various nuances and empower people through storytelling, tackling pop culture topics, and sharing pieces of my life.
Now, for the fun part! Every week, I’ll be chatting it up about various things related to Personal Growth, Relationships, and Self-Care. I’ll also throw in a rant every now and then on situations related to pop culture in a category called Talk To ‘Em Jas.
All things related to your personal development and self-discovery.
All things related to your relationship with God, with yourself, and with others.
All things related to exploring what self-care means to you. (spoiler alert: it’s not just bubble baths and beach trips)

All things related to random nuances in pop-culture.
By definition, a footnote is additional information that supports the main piece of content. And in this case, my weekly newsletter will act as the footnote to my blog, itsjasminesymone.com. Every week, I will meet you in your inbox to further the conversations happening on the gram and on the blog’s comment sections. I’ll also update you on new posts and leave you with a thought or two. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out. Go ahead and sign up below!
